The following information was provided by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.
On May 18 at 11 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to Wegman’s on Centerton Road for a shoplifting report. Officers arrested a 22-year-old woman for stealing $668 worth of merchandise. She was charged with shoplifting and released pending a court hearing.
On May 18 at 12:45 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a suspicious person investigation on Church Road near Springdale Road. Officers arrested a 27-year-old woman from Mt. Laurel for possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana. She was released pending a court hearing.
On May 18 at 3 p.m. Mount Laurel Police located a stolen vehicle parked on the 1000 block of Route 73. Two males ran from the vehicle when they saw an officer approaching. Officers arrested a 38-year-old man from Burlington. He was charged with receiving stolen property and bail was set at $30,000 with no 10 percent option. He was committed to the Burlington County Jail. The second suspect was not located.
A resident of Oswego Court reported that between May 5 and May 6, someone damaged a convertible roof and tires of a vehicle parked near the 1000 building.
On May 19 at 12:40 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to an activated burglar alarm on the 200 block of Willow Turn. Responding officers discovered that a rear door to the residence had been kicked in but no entry was gained to the residence.
On May 19 at 12:45 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police stopped a suspicious male walking in the area of an attempted burglary on the 200 block of Willow Turn. Officers arrested a 31-year-old man from Mt. Laurel. He was charged with hindering his own apprehension after he provided officers with a false name in an attempt to avoid arrest on several outstanding warrants. He was turned over to another law enforcement agency for the outstanding warrants.
