The finest Burlington County College student art and fashion will be presented during the 16th annual Student Art & Design Exhibition, hosted by the BCC art faculty at the college’s Student Art Gallery in downtown Mount Holly.
The opening reception on Friday, May 1 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. will also feature an informal fashion show with more than a dozen of BCC’s Fashion Design students, whose one-of-a-kind purses were recently auctioned off at the first-ever American Red Cross, Southwestern New Jersey Chapter, Power of the Purse event to raise money for local disaster relief efforts.
The annual juried exhibit showcases the best work from BCC student artists of all media. Submissions were exclusive to BCC students and were limited to works they created during their time at the college.
Thirty-eight student artists were chosen to participate in the exhibition. There are 91 pieces of art work including photography, painting, jewelry, sculpture, and fashion design. Select student artists and designers will be recognized during an awards ceremony at 5:45 p.m. during the opening reception.
The exhibit, fashion show and opening reception are free and open to the public. The 16th Annual Student Art & Design Exhibition will be on display through Friday, June 19 during normal gallery hours.
The BCC Student Art Gallery at 1 High Street is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Fridays from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., and the second Saturday of every month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
