Chris Newcomer, a former Moorestown resident and High School alumnus, will be performing in “The Visit” on Broadway, opening April 23 at the Lyceum Theater. He plays Jacob Chicken, a 70-year-old blind eunuch.
The story of “The Visit,” according to the broadway website, is “Claire Zachanassian is an often-widowed millionairess who pays a visit to her hardship-stricken birthplace. The locals hope she’ll bring them a new lease on life, but little do they know her offer to revitalize the town comes at a dreadful price.”
The tony-award winning cast and crew includes: composer and lyricist John Kander & Fred Ebb, playwright Terrence McNally, star Chita Rivera, director John Doyle, set designer Scott Pask and costume designer Ann Hould-Ward.
Greg Newcomer described the musical as “a musical with a message” and “very gripping.”
