Evesham Police to reward helmet wearing kids

The Evesham Township Police Department has announced a community partnership with a local business, in which Cups and Cones of Marlton has teamed up with the department to help promote bike helmet safety.

To help promote safe riding, officers from the Evesham Township Police Department will be issuing “tickets” to kids observed wearing their helmets while riding their bicycles. This also applies to those kids who are observed riding scooters, skates and skateboards. The tickets can be turned in to receive a free small water ice or soft serve ice cream from Cups and Cones.

The department also feels that these interactions are a great way for youth to get to meet officers and have a positive connection with department members.

This program will run from through the end of the summer season.
