Youth Volunteer Opportunities Fair

Local teens interested in volunteering their services to some worthy organizations should mark their calendars for the special one-day “Youth Volunteer Opportunities Fair” scheduled for Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Burlington County Library in Westampton.

Hosted by the Burlington County Library System in partnership with the Volunteer Center of Burlington County, the fair will showcase a variety of organizations in need of a helping hand from area youths. During the event, representatives from the various groups will be available to share information about both summer and year-round opportunities with the potential volunteers, as well as their parents and guardians.

This is the second year the library and the volunteer center have offered this event and last year about a dozen organizations participated. A few of the organizations expected to be present this year are: American Red Cross; Burlington County Library; Burlington County.

Municipal Alliances; CONTACT TeenLine; Library Company of Burlington; Masonic Home; Newborns in Need; Samaritan Health & Hospice; Twin Oaks Community Services; and Volunteer Center of Burlington County. Additional organizations also are expected to be showcased.
