Parents and guardians interested in Evesham Child Care’s Teddy Bear Academy for the 2015–2016 school year are invited to attend an open house on Saturday, April 11, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Parents will have an opportunity to tour the facilities, housed in its own section of Marlton Middle School, as well as ask questions and enroll their child in the program. TBA is open to all children aged six weeks to pre-kindergarten; a $75 non-refundable fee, payable by check or money order to Evesham Child Care, is required.
“We are very excited to begin registration for our second year of early childcare services,” said Evesham Child Care Coordinator Leah Perlmutter. “The current school year, Teddy Bear Academy’s first in operation, has been very successful and rewarding. With more than 70 children enrolled, we can’t wait to see what the new school-year will bring.”
Teddy Bear Academy boasts seven large classrooms, an indoor play area, a fenced outdoor play area, a nurse’s office, bathrooms and a separate entrance exclusive to Evesham’s Teddy Bear Academy families. Last year, the children had fun participating in activities and special events such as camping week during the summer and a Thanksgiving feast, as well as much more. Perlmutter plans on continuing the fun this year.
“Our program provides an atmosphere that encourages children to explore and be creative, while being safe and secure throughout the day,” Perlmutter said. “We’ve been providing quality before- and after-school care for school-aged children enrolled in the district for more than 24 years.”
Teddy Bear Academy has three options to fit most families’ schedules. Full-day childcare is available year-round for children aged six weeks to pre-kindergarten from 6:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. A half-day preschool program for children aged three and four is available year-round from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Awrap-around program for children in the pre-school program at Rice Elementary School provides before- and after-school care from 6:45 a.m. to 6 p.m., as well as full-day care when Rice Elementary School is not in session. This program is available from September to June.
All children in the preschool program must be 3 or 4 years old on or before Oct. 1 and fully potty-trained, to meet program requirements.
Tuition rates range from $303 to $1,100; detailed tuition information is available on the Evesham Township School District website at www.evesham.k12.nj.us. Parents unable to attend the open house can register or arrange for a tour of TBA, located at 150 Tomlinson Mill Road, by contacting Evesham Child Care at (856) 988–0686. Registrations are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until all spaces are filled. In addition to contact information and current immunization records, a non-refundable $75 fee also is due at the time of registration.
