The Camden County Bike Share will be sponsoring a series of rides along “featured trails” in Camden County. This spring highlighted will be the Blackwood Rail Trail in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township. Bring a bike or use one of the program’s.
“This is a great opportunity to get out of the house and on a bike with your fellow riders,” said Freeholder Jeff Nash, liaison to the Camden County BikeShare. “Many municipalities are along the Camden County Multi-Use Trail Network that provides riders with hundreds of miles of recreational opportunities.”
All rides will leave from the Lakeland Bike Share repair facility located at 508 Lakeland Road, Blackwood. Individual rides are limited to 20 participants so pre-registration is required. Register for a ride by emailing [email protected]
Please list the number of riders registering and the date(s) joining in the email. All rides will begin promptly at 11 a.m. on the following dates: Sunday April 12 , Saturday May 2, Sunday May 10, Saturday June 6 and Sunday June 14.
“The Camden County Freeholders have made advocating and implementing more bike trails and alternative means of transportation throughout the region a priority,” Nash said. “This public policy initiative is another opportunity for residents to get out of their cars and onto a bike in order to traverse County trails and roadways. Whether it’s a daily commute to work or riding for recreation this program will provide a two wheel option for residents.”
