As summer approaches the Department of Parks & Recreation summer programs are heating up. In addition to the long-standing Recreation Summer Parks and Theater programs the department is proud to announce the return of its wildly successful Four Is Fun Program.
Beginning on Monday, June 29 the Four Is Fun Program will offer two sessions for five weeks. The morning session will run from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and the afternoon session will run from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Designed for the 4-year-old set, this program is developmentally and physically appropriate for little learners. Instructor Chelsea (Gross) Molden is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education and currently teaches special education in Gloucester Township. Four is Fun participants must be 4-years-old by June 29, 2015.
This summer program will have your child participating in physical activity, learning letters and numbers, creating art, exploring experiments and most importantly having fun. Each week will have a different theme in which children will complete related art projects, read stories and make new friends. Molden will oversee this growing program with an increased number of spots available in both sessions. Each session will have additional Certified Teacher Leaders, and will be complete with a full professional and volunteer staff. Our youngest campers will be surrounded by a caring and passionate staff to ensure their safety and security throughout the summer.
The Four Is Fun Program is just one of the many pre-school aged programs the Department of Parks & Recreation offers. From pre-school ballet and dance to Exposure to Sports and Tumblin’ Tots the department is eager to encourage physical activity in our youngest community members. Promoting safe and fun physical activity is one of the primary goals of the department, followed closely by the desire to build community experiences. By offering the Moorestown community opportunities to participate in activities within the community we offer relationship building opportunities.
