Evesham Police identify suspect who burglarized church and stole gift cards and cash

The following information comes from Lt. Joseph Friel of the Evesham Township Police Department:

Evesham Police have identified suspect who burglarized church and stole gift cards and cash from safe.

An investigation determined that the suspect entered the church, St. Joan of Arc, 100 Willow Ridge Road, on March 9 and spoke to members of the congregation.

The male then hide in the church until all members had left for the night.

Once alone in the church he broke into a safe and stole $900 in gift cards and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators were able to identify the male through video surveillance.

Charged:

A male age 21 of Berlin, has been charged with third degree burglary. He is currently wanted by the Evesham Police Department and bail has been set at $20,000.
