The Mt. Laurel Green Team is sponsoring a talk presented by Joan Johnson, a certified master gardener, at the Mt. Laurel Community Garden on Saturday, April 11 at 10:30 a.m.
Johnson will cover items such as when to start to work the soil, seed planting vs. started plants, some beneficial things to add to soil, when to plant, some easy plants and herbs to grow and basic composting.
Additionally, this year, immediately following the talk, there will be a demonstration on raised bed gardening. The Green Team will have a handout on materials needed and directions and actually put a raised bed together. Each program is expected to take about an hour and there will be a question and answer session following each.
This is a free event, open to all, but registration is required. Please contact Sandra Carleton at [email protected] to register.
