Annual World Day of Prayer to be celebrated at First United Methodist Church on March 6

“Radical love” will be a theme of the annual World Day of Prayer celebration Friday, March 6. The annual observance sponsored by Church Women United of Moorestown will be held at First United Methodist Church, Pleasant Valley and Camden avenues, beginning with a complimentary continental breakfast at 9:30 a.m. followed by an hour of worship, prayer and music at 10:00 a.m.

Women of The Bahamas have prepared the program for this year, which will be used by women’s groups and churches throughout the world. Concerns of Bahamian women, which are also global concerns, will be shared.

A freewill offering will be received to help deal with these issues. Last year’s offerings were used for agricultural projects in Haiti, providing clean water in India, empowering girls at risk of dropping out of school through educational mentoring in Egypt, and conducting trauma healing workshops for rape victims in Zimbabwe, among other projects.

All are welcome at this breakfast and celebration.
