Shawnee High School has added an extra performance of their spring musical, “Oklahoma!” for this upcoming weekend. A matinee on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. has been added to the schedule. This is in addition to the already scheduled shows on Feb. 26, 27 and 28 at 7 p.m.
Set in a Western Indian territory just after the turn of the century, the high-spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the colorful background against which Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a winsome farm girl, play out their love story. This fun-filled show provides comedic banter with beautiful singing and story telling dances that bring this classic Golden Age musical to life.
Gold cards will be accepted for all performances.
