Seneca Student Council sponsored its 7th annual NJASC Charity Dinner on Jan. 30. Every year the New Jersey Association of Student Council sponsors a charity, and this year the charity was Christine’s Hope for Kids.
The goal was to spread awareness of the work of this charity while enjoying a delicious dinner prepared by the Community Service Club. Jean Gianacaci , founder of the charity, gave a heartfelt and powerful presentation of their mission.
Christine’s Hope for Kids was founded in order to continue Christine’s work with disadvantaged children. Christine Gianacaci traveled to Haiti for a mission of hope but lost her life in the earthquake.
Her parents founded this charity to continue helping children here in New Jersey. Through the generous donations of those in attendance, Seneca Student Council raised $1500 for the Christine’s Hope for Children.
