The following report is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:
On Feb. 8 at 1:55 a.m., an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 after observing the vehicle being operated in a careless manner.
During the investigation Evesham Police K-9 Ciko was called upon to assist officers with the detection of narcotics.
K-9 Ciko conducted an exterior sniff of the subject’s vehicle at which time he alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the car. A subsequent search of the vehicle by officers resulted in the discovery of illegal narcotics and loaded handgun.
Arrested:
A women, age 24, of Hammonton, was charged with fourth degree unlawful possession of a handgun, and a disorderly persons offense for hindering apprehension.
She was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $6050 bail.
A man, age 23, of Camden, was charged with a disorderly persons offense for possession of marijuana, possession of drug Paraphernalia, and hindering apprehension.
He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $2700 bail.
