The following information was provided by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.
A victim reported that two credit cards were stolen from her purse while she dined at Panera Bread on Centerton Road, Feb. 2 between 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. The victim reported that she had her purse hung across the back of her chair. The stolen cards were used a two unknown stores in another town shortly after the theft.
A victim reported that her wallet, containing credit cards and personal documents, was stolen from her purse while she was at the coffee shop in the Wegman’s on Centerton Road, Feb. 2 between 1:15 and 2 p.m. The victim stated that her purse was slung over the back of her chair and was not zipped closed. The victim’s credit cards were used at several stores outside of Mt. Laurel shortly after the theft.
A resident of Mt. Laurel reported that she received a letter from the IRS notifying her that someone attempted to file a fraudulent tax return using the victim’s personal identifying information sometime in January.
On Feb. 4 at 4:05 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near Interstae-295. During the stop, officers arrested the driver, a 27-year-old man from Newtown, Penn. He was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a court hearing.
Mt. Laurel Police responded to a residence on the first block of Pheasant Drive for the report of a burglary. The investigation revealed that on Feb. 4 between 8:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. someone forced entry into the residence through a rear sliding glass door. Jewelry was stolen.
Mt. Laurel Police responded to a residence on the first block of Broadacre Drive for the report of a burglary. The investigation revealed that on Feb. 4 between 5:45 p.m. and 10 p.m. someone forced entry into the residence through a rear sliding glass door. Jewelry was stolen.
On Feb. 6, Mt. Laurel Police responded to the McDonalds on Route 73 for a theft report. The victim reported that between 12:15 p.m. and 12:45 p.m., someone stole power tools, valued at $500, from an unlocked tool box on his truck while he ate at the restaurant.
On Feb. 7 at 1:15 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to a disturbance in the parking lot of Prospector’s Saloon on Route 38. Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on a suspect vehicle as it left the parking lot. During the stop officers arrested the driver, a 24-year-old man from Shillington, Pa. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.
On Feb. 8 at 1:30 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Willow Turn near Chaucer Road. During the stop officers arrested the driver, a 30-year-old man from Mt. Laurel. He was chaeged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.
On Feb. 8 at 1:35 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Mt. Laurel Road near Church Road. During the stop officers arrested the driver, a 33-year-old man from Medford. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.
On Feb. 8 at 2:25 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 38 near Midlantic Drive. During the stop officers arrested the driver, a 31-year-old man from Mt. Laurel. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.
On Feb. 8 at 3:40 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to the CoCo Keys Water Park for a disturbance. The investigation revealed that the dispute was over a theft. A victim was upset over the theft of her cell phone and credit card. Officers determined that another guest at the water park, a 32-year-old woman from Reading, Pa. committed the theft. She also used the credit card at the park. She was charged with theft, credit card fraud, and forgery and was released pending a court hearing.
