Registration of children who will enter kindergarten next September will be held at Mt. Laurel Schools during the week of March 9. At the same time, any student who is currently attending a private kindergarten by will be coming to Mt. Laurel’s first-grade classes in September should also be registered.
“We try very hard to get these little ones registered early,” Mt. Laurel Schools Superintendent Antoinette Rath said, “because we want to five them the best possible start to their educational career. The annual roundup gives us a chance to get their classes set and the staff in place over the summer months, as we do with all other grade levels. Children registered during roundup are also invited to the kindergarten orientation held in May. That’s a terrific introduction to the school with fun activities for the students and sessions with staff for all of the parents.”
Kindergarten and first-grade roundup will be held on Monday, March 9, Tuesday, March 10, Thursday, March 12 and Friday, March 13 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Larchmont, Parkway, Springville and Hillside Schools. Registration at Countryside and Fleetwood will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on the same days.
