Kick off the year on the right foot at the YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties and make 2015 the healthiest year yet.

Now through Jan. 31, the public can join the YMCA by purchasing a facility membership and the joiner fee will be waived. This savings (up to $150) makes joining easier and more affordable. Facility memberships offer unlimited access to both Y facilities, as well as wellness centers, open gym time, lap and recreational swimming and free babysitting. Facility members also enjoy more than 100 free group exercise classes and 30 free water exercise classes, priority registration, reduced fees for programs and classes and guest privileges.

Additionally, the YMCA recently announced a new line-up of fun and inspiring programs for the winter session, which runs from through March 1, to help members of all ages achieve their health and wellness goals.

New Group Exercise classes include:

Tone and Pump: Blast fat and get the heart pumping with this 60-minuite workout using great music and weights. Tone and pump will be offered on Mondays from 6 to 7 a.m. and 9 to 10 a.m., Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Thursdays from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at the Burlington-Riverfront YMCA. Classes will also be held at the Mt. Laurel YMCA on Mondays from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. and 7 to 8 p.m., Wednesdays from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. and Fridays from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Cost is $50 for program members.

New Youth Programs include:

Kids Yoga: Children ages 6 to 11 will learn yoga skills at the Burlington-Riverfront YMCA. Kids yoga will take place on Tuesdays from 5 to 5:45 p.m. Cost for this class is $55 for facility members, $78 for program members and $104 for non-program members.

Creative Dance: Learn the basics of modern dance styles, ages 3 to 5, on Fridays from 4 to 4:45 p.m. at the Burlington-Riverfront YMCA and on Tuesdays from 3:15 to 4 p.m. at the Mt. Laurel YMCA. Cost at the Burlington-Riverfront location is $52 for facility members, $78 for program members and $104 for non-program members. Cost at the Mount Laurel location is $52 for facility members, $104 for program members and $130 for non-program members.

DJ Music Mixing: Create music through the art of DJing for ages 10–17 on Fridays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Burlington-Riverfront YMCA and on Tuesdays from 6:30 7:30 p.m. at the Mt. Laurel YMCA. Cost at the Burlington-Riverfront location is $65 for facility members, $97 for program members and $130 for non-program members. Cost at the Mt. Laurel location is $65 for facility members, $130 for program members and $162 for non-program members.

Kids Multi-Sport: Play a different sport every week and learn a variety of skills at the Burlington-Riverfront YMCA. Kids Multi-Sport, for ages 5 to 8, will take place on Tuesdays from 6:05 to 6:50 p.m. Cost is $52 for facility members, $78 for program members and $104 for non-program members.

Contemporary Dance: Children ages 6–10 will learn the technique and style of contemporary dance. Classes will be offered on Tuesdays from 4:05 to 4:50 p.m. at the Mt. Laurel YMCA. Cost is $52 for facility members, $104 for program members and $130 for non-program members.

Cheerleading: Learn the basics of cheer, including tumbling, dance combos and cheers at the Mt. Laurel YMCA. Cheerleading is open to preschool, ages 3–5, and youth, ages 6–10. Preschool cheerleading take place from 6 to 6:45 p.m. on Wednesdays. Cost for preschool is $52 for facility members, $104 for program members and $130 for non-members. Youth cheerleading takes place from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. on Thursdays and is $60 for facility members, $120 for program members and $150 for non-members.

New Homeschool Events include:

Homeschool Gym Class: This new Homeschool Gym Class is designed for homeschooled children to play sports and games with other families. This gym class is open to students, ages 5–12. Classes take place from 11 to 11:45 a.m. on Thursdays at the Mt. Laurel YMCA. Cost per family is $60 for facility members, $120 for program members and $150 for non-members.

Homeschool Lunch and Social Time: Bring your own lunch to the new homeschool gym class to meet and socialize with other homeschool families. This event is open to all ages and conveniently takes place after the homeschool gym class from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursdays at the Mt. Laurel YMCA. Cost is free for facility members, $10 for program members and $20 for non-members.
