Center for the Arts in Southern New Jersey ‘Burlington County High School Student’ exhibit reception on Jan. 22

The Center for the Arts in Southern New Jersey “Burlington County High School Student” exhibit will run from through Feb. 6, with a exhibit reception on Thursday, Jan. 22 from 7–9 p.m.

The exhibit is free and open to the public Monday — Friday, 10 a.m. -3 p.m. and Wed. 7–9 p.m.

According to the center, the exhibit is always well received and well attended by up-and-coming artists, their families, friends and teachers. The exhibit provides a wonderful opportunity for student artists of Burlington County to hang their work in a professional gallery.

Each year the artwork astounds all those who stop by to view the exhibition. The creativity from all the students has shown all visitors to the Center that those in the area have a multitude of very gifted and talented young artists in Burlington County. In past exhibits, the artwork has included: 3D collages, mosaics, handmade jewelry, ceramics pieces, as well as works done in charcoal, marker and colored pencil, acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink, oils and pastels.

The historic house that the Center for the Arts calls home is located on the grounds of the Indian Spring Golf Course, 123 South Elmwood Road. Built in 1785, the house was once the home of Thomas and Mary Evens. Today the house is used as a fine arts gallery and school.
