Strong-arm robbery tops Mt. Laurel Police report this week

The following information was provided by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

On Jan. 3 at midnight, Mt. Laurel Police responded to the 3600 block of Fenwick Lane for the report of a strong-arm robbery. The victim reported being assaulted by three males wearing masks that had been hiding in the dumpster area near his residence. The suspects stole his cell phone, wallet, and necklace, valued at $2,000. The victim sustained minor injuries and did not request emergency medical services. Anyone with information concerning this crime is asked to contact the Mt. Laurel Police Criminal Investigation Bureau.

On Jan. 4 at 11:30 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted an investigation into suspicious activity at a hotel on the 500 block of Fellowship Road. As a result of the investigation, officers arrested a 37-year-old woman from Bellmawr. She was charged with engaging in prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was turned over to another agency on outstanding warrants.

An employee of the Wendy’s on Centerton Road reported their iPhone was stolen from the employee break room between 4 and 6 p.m. on Jan. 2.

A resident of the 300 block of Jamestown Court reported $967.44 was fraudulently charged to their credit card from a business in San Diego, Calif. The incident occurred on Jan. 1.

On Jan. 3 at 1:23 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near Crawford Place. During the stop officers arrested the 33-year-old driver from Philadelphia, PA and charged him with driving while intoxicated. He was released pending a court hearing.

On Jan. 4 at 12:20 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Centerton Road. During the stop officer arrested the driver a 36-year-old woman from Hainesport, for possession of marijuana under 50 grams. She was released pending a court hearing.

A resident of the unit block of Devonshire Road reported their residence was burglarized. On between Dec. 30 and Jan. 4. Entry was gained by breaking a rear window. Jewelry, valued at approximately $1,600, was taken.

A township resident reported their bicycle, valued at $250 was stolen sometime between 11 a.m. Jan. 2 and 7 p.m. Jan. 3. The bicycle was left locked to a light post at the corner of Briggs Road and Technology Way.

A resident of the unit block of Holly Cove reported a criminal mischief to a vehicle. The incident occurred between 6 p.m. Jan. 7 and 6:30 a.m. Jan. 8. A vehicle window was shattered. Damage is estimated at $400.

A resident of the 100 block of Knotty Oak Drive reported a theft of a package containing merchandise valued at $65. The theft occurred on Dec. 23.

On Jan. 9 at 9:50 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Springdale Road near Church Road. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Virginia. Officers arrested the driver, a 50-year-old woman from Maple Shade. She was charged with receiving stolen property and released pending a court hearing.

A resident of the unit block of Sternlight Drive reported a stolen vehicle. The incident occurred at 9:40 p.m. while the vehicle was left unlocked, running in front of the residence. A 2000 Lexus ES300, valued at $4,400, was taken.

A member of the YMCA on Centerton Road reported a theft from a vehicle. The incident occurred between 1:30 p.m. and 2:40 p.m. Jan. 11 while the vehicle was parked in the YMCA parking lot. A tablet computer and cash, valued at approximately $700, was taken.
