Moorestown Police are investigating a three vehicle crash that occurred on Jan. 2 reported at 5:31 p.m.
The crash occurred on Route 38 eastbound, just east of Strawbridge Drive. Route 38 eastbound was closed to traffic between Pleasant Valley Avenue and South Church Street for approximately one and a half hours while officers conducted an investigation of the crash. A Honda Civic operated by a 30-year-old female from Hainesport, accompanied by a 12-year-old female and 8- and 6-year-old males (transported to Virtua Hospital Mt. Holly with non-life threatening injuries), struck a Saturn Ion stopped in traffic operated by a 71-year-old female from Willingboro, who was transported by ground to Cooper Hospital in Camden, presently listed in stable condition.
As a result of the initial crash, the Saturn Ion was pushed into a Honda Accord, also stopped in traffic, operated by a 58-year-old male from Delran accompanied by a 24-year-old male, who refused treatment at the scene and drove themselves for medical treatment.
