Charles R. Watson, of Medford went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014. He was 82 years of age.
Born in Camden, he has resided in Medford for the past 56 years moving there from Runnemede. He and his late wife, Elma, were avid collectors of historical bottles and other antiques and enjoyed fishing at the Jersey Shore. He was the owner of Charles M. Watson Co. in Philadelphia, a family owned electrical contracting business that is now in its fourth generation of ownership.
He is the husband of the late Elma J. Watson (nee Pearce) and is the father of Charles J. and Cathleen Watson, Stephen D. and Donna Watson and John R. and Kristina Watson all of Medford, and Richard J. and Brigitte Watson of Tabernacle, grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of one.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, Jan. 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday Jan. 10 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Bradley and Stow Funeral Home in Medford where a memorial service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment will be private in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Medford. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family requests donations to either the Moorestown Visiting Nurses, 300 Harper Drive, Moorestown, NJ 08057 or to the Museum of American Glass, c/o Wheaton Village, 1501 Glasstown Rd., Millville, NJ 08332.
