Mail, package theft tops Mt. Laurel Police report this week

The following information was provided by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

A resident of the 100 block of Knotty Oak Drive reported the theft of two packages from the front doorstep. The incident occurred between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Dec. 22. The parcels were valued at $230.

A resident of the 600 block of Woodthrush Court reported the theft of mail, valued at $40, from the residential mailbox. The incident occurred at 7 p.m. Dec. 23. Police recovered the stolen mail from two local juveniles who were subsequently turned over to their parents. Juvenile complaints are pending.

A resident of the 700 block of York Road reported a burglary and theft to a residence. The incident occurred on Dec. 23, between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Entry was gained by forcing the rear window. Jewelry, valued at approximately $10,000, was taken.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested two juvenile residents, both age 15, on Dec. 24 for shoplifting approximately $100 in merchandise from the CVS on Route 38. Both juveniles were served with juvenile delinquency complaints and released to their parents pending a family court hearing.

A resident of the 1400 block of Ralston Drive reported a theft from a vehicle. The incident occurred between 6 p.m. Dec. 23, and 4:30 p.m. Dec. 24. Toys, valued at approximately $100, were taken from the trunk. There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle. The vehicle was parked in the parking lot adjacent to the residence.

The owner of a vehicle parked in the Carlucci’s parking lot on Centerton Road, reported a criminal mischief to a vehicle. The incident occurred between 4 p.m. and 10:45 p.m., Dec. 24. Four tires were slashed. Damage is estimated at $500.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 57-year-old woman of the 300 block of Vista Drive, Marlton, on Dec. 25, for driving while intoxicated. She was stopped on Mt. Laurel Road near Pheasant Drive at 11 p.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.
