In preparation for the Christmas season, the Lutheran Church of Our Savior will present a special Lessons and Carols service on Sunday, Dec. 21 at 10:30 a.m. that will include its historic refurbished pipe organ.
Themed “Rejoice in the Lord for God Has Done Great Things,” this festive service will celebrate the Advent and Christmas seasons and will feature an orchestra; handbell choir; adult, youth and children’s choirs; and congregational caroling.
The choirs will sing a variety of selections by Gustav Holst, Felix Mendelssohn, and other composers. Advent and Christmas readings and hymns complete the service, including such classics as “O Come All Ye Faithful” and “Silent Night” and “What Child Is This.”
The public is welcomed to attend. A free-will offering will be taken. For additional information, contact director of music Austen Wilson, Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 204 Wayne Avenue at Wood Lane in Haddonfield at (856) 429–5122.
