As Evesham Township prepares for the holiday season, the township would like to take a moment to remind everyone of those less fortunate. In an effort to give to those in the community, the township created The Giving Tree, a tree decorated with red bows, which identifies the age and gender of an Evesham resident in need, while protecting their identity. The trees will be located at the Evesham Municipal Building as well as the Gibson House Community Center.
The concept is as people pass through designated Giving Tree locations; they will select a bow and consider providing a gift to an Evesham resident.
If residents would like to help make a better holiday for these residents by selecting a gift, not to exceed $10 (residents may certainly donate cash or a gift card). Please deposit the unwrapped gift, along with the tag, which was attached to the selected bow indicating gender and age to the drop-off box locations: Evesham Township Municipal Building, 984 Tuckerton Road or the Gibson House Community Center, 535 E. Main Street.
Please be sure to deliver any gift no later than Dec. 15, so they may be delivered to the appropriate recipients during the holiday season.
If residents select a monetary donation, please forward it to Monica Vandenberg, Evesham Township, 984 Tuckerton Road Marlton, NJ 08053.
Please keep the bow as a reminder of the difference made to a resident in need. As always, the township thanks residents for their kindness and generosity.
