Holidays can be tough when grieving. For most people, the holidays are a happy, festive time of year. But, if facing the holidays after the loss of a loved one, the season can be lonely, depressing and often difficult to handle. Holidays or not, it is important to find a way to take care of oneself.
The Samaritan Center for Grief Support, a member of the Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice Family of Services, announces a number of free, one-session support groups to help those grieving the loss of a loved one to cope during the holiday season.
For supportive information on how to get through the holidays, register for any one of the four local Coping with the Holidays 90-minute sessions outlined below:
– Saturday, Nov. 8 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Virtua Memorial located at 175 Madison Avenue, Mount Holly
– Saturday, Nov. 15 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Hammonton Library located at 451 S Egg Harbor Road, Hammonton
– Thursday, Nov. 20 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the West Deptford Library located at 420 Crown Point Road, West Deptford
– Thursday, Nov. 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Cinnaminson Library located at 1619 Riverton Road, Cinnaminson
