Moorestown Police Report for Oct. 17–29

The following reports are on file with the Moorestown Police Department.

On Oct. 17 a 23-year-old male of Moorestown was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams as the result of a traffic stop. He was also charged with motor vehicle summons CDS in a motor vehicle and failure to use signal. He was released on a summons.

On Oct. 17 a 31-year-old female Philadelphia, Pa. was arrested and charged with shoplifting. She concealed clothing in her handbag from Boscov’s Dept. Store in the Moorestown Mall. The total value of the clothing was $395. She was released on a summons.

On Oct. 17 due to a motor vehicle stop a 73-year-old man of Ocean, NJ was arrested for driving while under the Influence of alcohol. He was also charged with additional motor vehicle summons for failure to wear seatbelt, open container of alcohol in MV, reckless driving and parking in a handicap space.

On Oct. 19 a 52-year-old female of Marlton was arrested and charged with shoplifting. She selected a black Cole Haan leather jacket at Lord & Taylor, put the jacket on and exited the store on Oct. 4 and fled in a vehicle. The value of the theft was $695. She was committed to the Burlington County Jail in default of $2,500.

On Oct. 20 as a result of a motor vehicle cash into a utility pole on Kings Highway a 20-year-old male of Pennsauken arrested and charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report accident, uninsured, unlicensed, careless driving, reckless driving and underage driving while intoxicated. He was transported to Cooper for his injuries.

On Oct. 21 a 22-year-old male of Mt. Laurel was arrested and charged with shoplifting. He placed assorted clothing into Macy’s shopping bags valued at $644.90 from Macy’s in the Moorestown Mall and exited the store without paying for the clothing. He was released on a summons.

On Oct. 23 a 21-year-old male of Medford was arrested and charged with shoplifting. He took clothing valued at $211.48 from Macy’s Dept. Store in the Moorestown Mall, put the clothing on and exited the store. He was released on a summons.

On Oct. 17, an unlocked detached garage on Riverton Road was entered overnight. Two vehicles in the garage were entered and $600 was taken from a wallet.

On Oct. 25, a Schwinn bicycle was taken from a yard on Locust St. The value of the bicycle is unknown.

On Oct. 25, a pink road master bicycle was taken from a porch on South Church St. The bike was located in a rear parking lot on East Second Street.

On Oct.24, a 54-year-old woman of Donna Marie Court, Erial was arrested and charged with shoplifting. The woman concealed twelve Yankee Candles in a Boscov’s tote bag from Boscov’s Department Store in the Moorestown Mall. Total value of the theft was $335.88. The woman was released on a summons.

On Oct. 25, a 19-year-old man of Excell Lane, Willingboro was arrested and charged with shoplifting. The man concealed merchandise from Zumiez Department Store in the Moorestown Mall. The total value of the theft was $145.75. The man was released on a summons.

On Oct. 25, a 19-year-old woman of West Second St. was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges and arrest were the result of a suspicious vehicle complaint on North Riding Dr. and Demarest Road. The woman was also issued a motor vehicle summons for possession of CDS in a motor vehicle. The woman was released on a summons.

On Oct. 25, two women were arrested and charged with shoplifting at the Boscov’s Department Store in the Moorestown Mall. A 26-year-old woman of East Union Street, Burlington shoplifted clothing valued at $53.99 and was released on a summons. A 27-year-old woman of Oregon Ave., Mt. Laurel shoplifted clothing valued at $93 and was released on a summons.

On Oct. 26, a 26-year-old woman of Berkshire Road, Sicklerville was arrested and charged with shoplifting. The woman concealed underwear valued at $75.91 from Marshalls Department Store on Route 38. The woman was released on a summons.

On Oct. 26, a 24-year-old man of Newbold Ave. was arrested and charged with fugitive from justice. Due to a motor vehicle crash the man was found to be a fugitive from the state of California. The man was committed to the Burlington County Jail in default of $5,000 bail.

On Oct. 26, a 39-year-old man of Cedar St. was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and obstruction. Police responded to an abandoned 911 call and as a result of a domestic dispute charges and an arrest was completed.

On Oct. 27, an 18-year-old man of Eaglebrook Dr. was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper behavior. The man engaged in a fight with a juvenile male at the Moorestown High School, which resulted in charges. The man was released on summonses.

On Oct. 28, an unlocked vehicle on East Third St. was entered overnight. $35 was taken.

On Oct. 29, an unlocked vehicle on Evergreen Drive was entered overnight. $40–50 was taken.

On Oct. 29, an unlocked vehicle on Mill St. was entered overnight. Bose headphones, valued at $200, were taken.
