The following information was provided by the Medford Township Police Department.
On Oct. 21 at approximately 6:52 p.m. Medford Township Police, Fire, EMS, and Virtua Paramedics were dispatched to North Main Street in the area of Branch Street for a pedestrian motor vehicle accident.
An investigation revealed that a 79-year-old woman from Cherry Hill was walking with her family in the crosswalk when she was struck by a southbound vehicle being driven by a 62-year-old man from Medford. The woman was knocked down to the ground due to the impact, and suffered an injury to her right hip. Medford EMS and Virtua Paramedics treated her on the scene, and then transported her to Virtua Marlton for further testing.
Medford Police are continuing their investigation into this crash.
