The Burlington County Municipal Park Development Program has awarded Evesham Township $250,000, which will be utilized for the Evesham Township Neighborhood Parks Improvement Project.

“This is another example of how Evesham Township and the county work in unison. The grant money provides the opportunity to beautify numerous locations in town,” Mayor Randy Brown said. “Myself and council are continually committed to raising the standards in Evesham and facilitating a better way of life.”

The fields at Evesboro-Downs Park were improved with the same grant in 2011. Due to the success of those field improvements, a playground will be constructed for family members and residents who utilize the area. Paving of the entrance to the fields is also proposed for this project.

Willow Ridge Park’s soccer field will be re-graded and the baseball field will be improved with use of the funds. A new playground will also be constructed on-site.

Evesham Township is committed to creating an active and enjoyable lifestyle for residents. The township looks forward to the finished product, and eventual use by residents.

“We are thrilled by the generosity of the Burlington County Municipal Park Development Program. It has afforded us an opportunity to grow recreational facilities we may not have otherwise had the chance,” Vandenberg said.
