Spring Hills Cherry Hill hosting Pawfest on Oct. 11
Pets are the stars of Pawfest, the family-friendly event on Saturday, Oct. 11 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Spring Hills Cherry Hill Assisted Living.
Pawfest is a celebration for pets and their owners. Neighbors are welcome to participate and join in the festivities that include a pet costume parade and contest, pet photography by Jerry Berger and a dog agility course with therapy dog Sunny. Donations of dog food are welcome and will be given to local animal shelters. Spring Hills Cherry Hill encourages residents to move in with their small pets.
“We are all excited to share the fun of Pawfest with the community,” executive director Mike Lando said. “I know, personally, how pets make a positive difference in someone’s life, and we encourage our residents to move in with their own pets because of this.”
Guests are welcome to bring their own animals, dressed in costumes, on leashes for the pet parade. Prizes will be given for smallest, largest, cutest and most original presentations. Spring Hills asks that all parade participants bring a dog food donation. There will also be snacks for both humans and pets.
