Join us at the First United Methodist Church on Friday, Oct. 3 to kick off an exciting new season of the Grounds for Good coffee house. The evening will feature live music by Spirit Driven, whose style includes a unique blend of bluegrass, rock, gospel and country music. We’ll also offer free coffee and tea, an array of delicious baked goods for sale, and an art exhibit.
Admission is free, but donations and proceeds will benefit Seeds of Hope, a Camden-based organization with multiple missions to support the hungry, former prisoners, and women trapped in prostitution.
Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and music will begin around 8 p.m. Grounds for Good is a monthly event, generally held on the first Friday of each month from October through June. Each month features music by different performers and benefits a different local charity.
The American Red Cross will sponsor a blood drive at the First United Methodist Church on Monday, October 6. Appointments are available every 15 minutes from 1:30 p.m. until 6:15 p.m. You may sign up by emailing [email protected] or online at redcrossblood.org, using the sponsor code FUMCM.
