For those enjoy outdoor recreation such as walking, trail running, biking or birding, then come visit the Black Run Preserve. It’s one thousand acres in a beautiful corner of the Pine Barrens.
The Friends of the Black Run Preserve want local constituency to be seen and heard at its Oct. 1 concept plan presentation at 7 p.m. in the Evesham Township Municipal Courtroom.
The concept plan was developed with community input during a visioning event last October. It’s a long-range plan for the Black Run Preserve and the most important issue is safety. The plan recommends the establishment of two trailheads to provide safe access to existing and planned trails. Recommendations to stop on-going illegal dumping, campfires, and motorized vehicles would help protect this pristine watershed.
The Black Run Preserve is owned by Evesham Township. Elected officials determine what level of support and funding will be provided for the preserve to be enjoyed safely by citizens of all ages. The concept plan provides a framework for diverse user groups to enjoy life-long recreational activities in the Black Run Preserve. If you enjoy our pristine Pinelands gem, then please support the Friends of the Black Run Preserve.
