Medford issues summons to driver after three-car crash on Church Road

The following information was provided by the Medford Township Police Department.

On Aug. 25 at 4:07 p.m., Medford Police, Fire and EMS personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Church Road and Eayrestown Road for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Upon arriving police investigation revealed that vehicle no. 1 was traveling eastbound on Church Road at Eayrestown Road and failed to stop at a red traffic signal and struck vehicle’s no. 2 and 3, who were traveling north and south bound through the intersection.

The driver of vehicle no. 1, who was complaining of stomach pains and her 15-year-old female passenger, who had chest and hip pains, were transported to Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mt. Holly, by Evesham EMS.

The driver of vehicle no. 2, a 17-year-old female from Medford Lakes, was transported to WJ Voorhees hospital by Mt. Laurel EMS for neck and back pain. The driver of vehicle no. 3, a 73-year-old man from Medford, was transported to Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mt. Holly by Lumberton EMS for neck pain. The driver of vehicle no. 1 a 33-year-old woman from New Egypt, was issued one motor vehicle summons for failure to observe a traffic signal.
