Evergreens “Cycle of Life Motorcycle Poker Run” raises $15,000 for YMCA

The Evergreens in Moorestown hosted its 7th annual Cycle of Life Motorcycle Poker Run. More than 50 riders and passengers participated in this year’s 100+ mile ride through South Jersey, starting at The Evergreens and ending at the Flying W Airport Resort in Medford. This year’s ride was to help raise money and awareness for the YMCA of Burlington & Camden Counties’ Annual Campaign.

“With the outstanding generosity of our 2014 Cycle of Life sponsors and participants, we are happy to donate $15,300 to the Y’s Annual Campaign,” said Doug Halvorsen, president and CEO of The Evergreens and avid motorcycle rider and enthusiast. “We are thrilled to be able to help all of the adults, teens and children that utilize the Y’s many services each day through this donation to the campaign.”

This year’s Cycle of Life leading event sponsors included: Benefit Concepts, Martino and Binzer, T-N-T Painting, Classic Marble & Granite, Inc., Morrison Senior Dining, YMCA of Burlington & Camden Counties, Bayada Home Health Care, John Berger Flooring, Alisa Dutka for Mary Kay, Inc., Bollinger Insurance Solutions, Stewart Family Foundation, Lewis Funeral Home, Thomas/Boyd Communications, Medline Industries and PCS.

“We commend and thank The Evergreens for spearheading the annual Poker Run event and soliciting the support of sponsors to benefit YMCA programs and services,” said Tim Kerrihard, Y president and CEO. “This is what our Annual Campaign is all about — bringing together our community partners and friends to help close the financial gap for Burlington and Camden county families who value or require the Y’s programs and services, but may not be able to afford them.”
