The following information comes from Lt. Joseph Friel of the Evesham Township Police Department:
ETPD will be adding “Pizza with the Police” to its community policing arsenal. These types of programs offered by the Evesham Township Police Department offers citizens an informal venue to ask questions or voice their concerns.
Officers from the Evesham Township Police Department will be available to answer law enforcement related questions during the “Pizza with the Police” event held July 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at, Sal’s Pizzaworks, 10 West Main Street.
These types of programs are a unique way to strengthen the partnership between the police department and community it serves. The program is designed to enhance communication between concerned citizens and township police officers. ETPD believes that this type of open dialogue plays a critical role in establishing a true partnership between the community and the police department. Members of the community will be able to ask specific or general questions related to the neighborhoods they live in.
The Evesham Township Police Department places a high priority on community partnerships and believes these types of events can only foster better relationships.
The police department will continue to host these types of events on several occasions throughout the year at different shops or restaurants in the township.
