The Burlington County Library System is proud to present “New Jersey 350: Celebrating the 350th Anniversary of the Garden State,” a panel exhibit on display at the County Library in Westampton now through August.
The exhibit features 26 panels of book covers taken from the list of “101 Great New Jersey Books” and recreated with fun facts. This list was developed by librarians from Rutgers University and the State Library using criteria such as awards, critical recognition, impact on culture, historical significance and popularity over time.
Since its creation in 1664, New Jersey has played a pivotal role in the shaping of American life and culture. The state’s rich heritage, unique resources and resilient, determined people make it a place residents are proud to call home.
Today New Jersey is home to 21 Fortune 500 companies and more than 1,100 multinational companies from 40 nations. When it comes to art, culture, music, and sports, New Jersey houses hundreds of museums and is the home state to countless film, TV and music legends, notable literary figures and acclaimed athletes.
