Mt. Laurel Twp., in partnership with the Mount Laurel Library, will be providing six free concerts this summer. Five concerts will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Mt. Laurel Community Center one will be held at Laurel Acres Park 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend. No registration is needed.
Below is the 2014 concert schedule:
- On Thursday, July 10, John Byrne Band will perform Celtic folk music from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Mt. Laurel Community Center.
- On Thursday, July 17, The New Earth Trio will perform jazz tunes from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Mt. Laurel Community Center.
- On Friday, July 25, To the Max will perform rock and pop favorites from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Laurel Acres Park.
- On Thursday, July 31, Bobby Block Band will perform a Big Band concert from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Mt. Laurel Community Center.
- On Thursday, Aug. 7, The Sara James Band will represent the Cherry Hill School of Rock with some rockin’ tunes from 6:30 to 8 p.m.at Mt. Laurel Community Center.
- On Thursday, Aug. 14, The Rivers Rockabilly Trio will perform rockabilly songs from Buddy Holly to Elvis Presley from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Mt. Laurel Community Center.
The funds for the concert series were provided by Mt. Laurel Home for Funerals, Liberty Bell Bank and Wegmans. In the event of inclement weather, the outdoor concert will be held at the Mt. Laurel Community Center. Visit www.mtlaurel.lib.nj.us or www.mountlaurel.com for updates.
