On Campus: Marlton residents earn college honors

Alisha Gonzales, of Marlton, a Widener University 2014 graduate, was recently recognized with the The Kimberly Marshall Health Psychology Dissertation Award. Recognizes a student specializing in health psychology who shows outstanding promise for making a contribution to the field. Gonzales received a doctor of clinical psychology from Widener.

The following Marlton residents have been named to Millersville University of Pennsylvania’s dean’s list for the spring 2014 semester:

The following Marlton students qualified for the dean’s list at James Madison University during the spring 2014 semester:

Sara Midura, an Elementary Education major and a resident of Marlton, is on Butler University’s dean’s list for the spring semester of the 2013–2014 academic year. Recipients range from freshman to sixth-year pharmacy students.

Clemson University also announced the names of Marlton students who are on the dean’s list for the spring 2014 semester. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student achieved a grade-point average between 3.5 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.

The following Marlton residents made the spring 2014 dean’s list for academic achievement at Coastal Carolina University. To qualify for the dean’s list, freshmen must earn a 3.25 grade point average, and upperclassmen must earn a 3.5 grade point average. All students must be enrolled full time.

Lauren N. Thomas, a sophomore majoring in exercise and sport science.

Stephen R. Bialon, a senior majoring in middle level education.

Cory Weinberg of Marlton, a sophomore mass communications major at York College of Pennsylvania, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2014 semester. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Marlton resident Alexandra Balara was named to dean’s list for academic achievement at Elmira College for the spring 2014 term. She is currently studying speech and language disabilities.

Marlton resident Amanda Joan Cummings has been named to the president’s list at James Madison University for the spring 2014 semester. Students who earn president’s list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.9 or above. Cummings is a senior whose major is interdisc liberal studies — BS.

Marlton resident Kristyn Brier was named to the dean’s list for the 2014 spring semester at Messiah College. Brier is a senior majoring in psychology. Dean’s list is earned by receiving a 3.6 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Erin Mason, of Marlton, was recognized during Millersville University of Pennsylvania’s Honors and Awards Convocation on April 26, 2014.

Mason received the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete Award.

The following Marlton residents earned dean’s list honors for the fall 2013 semester at Saint Joseph’s University. Students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or above, a B or greater in all their classes, and complete at least 15 credits to earn dean’s list status for a semester.

Jade Alexis Bell, of Marlton, received academic honors from the Harpur College of Arts and Sciences at Binghamton University by making the University’s Dean’s List for the Fall 2013 semester.
