Mt. Laurel resident evacuated Friday night following fire

The following information was provided by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

At 8:36 p.m. on Friday, May 23, Mt.Laurel Police and Fire Departments responded to the 4300 building of Tarnbrook Drive in reference to a fire.

Upon their arrival the roof was observed on fire. The building, consisting of eight condominium units, was successfully evacuated and there were no injuries.

Mt. Laurel and assisting Burlington County Fire Departments successfully extinguished the fire. The origin of the fire is under investigation by the Burlington County Fire Marshall. For safety reasons the 4200 and 4400 buildings of Tarnbrook Drive were also evacuated but there was no damage to either of these units and residents were allowed to return to their homes.
