On May 21, Eastern Regional High School’s Board of Education approved Daniel Boguszewski head football coach for the 2014 season. Boguszewski replaces Dan Spittal who resigned in April.
Boguszewski, a South Jersey native, played high school football at Overbrook High School, where he captained the 1998 Group IV State Championship Team. He continued his playing career at Western Connecticut University and Rowan University.
Boguszewski began his coaching career at the high school level at Paul VI High School in the 2004 season. At Paul VI, he progressed from a position coach to the offensive coordinators position in 2011.
During the 2012 season, he coached at Sterling High School as an assistant coach; during this time at Sterling he served as offensive coordinator/running backs coach. In 2013 he returned to Paul VI as the offensive line coach.
Daniel was also approved as a Health and Physical Education teacher at Eastern Regional High School.
“I am confident that coach Boguszewski has the energy, passion and the plan to continue the proud tradition of Eastern Viking football,” said Vice Principal for Athletics, Phil Smart. “He will be a strong communicator and leader instilling in his players a strong work ethic and a team first approach.”
