An eighth grade student at Harrington Middle School died on Wednesday afternoon after collapsing during gym class. The student’s death was confirmed by Mt. Laurel school officials.
The student, who remains unidentified, collapsed during a “routine activity.” Mt. Laurel Police and emergency personnel responded to the scene. The student was transported to a local hospital and died a short time later.
Counselors will be provided for students and staff at Harrington on Thursday. No further information is being released at this time.
