The Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation is excited to announce the additions to their Board (ARVF) is a non-profit, tax exempt charitable organization located in Voorhees, NJ. ARVF provides activities, programs and events that enhance the quality of life for teens with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Since its inception, ARVF has successfully partnered with 98 children’s hospitals in 37 states throughout the country, funding 60 Teen Lounges and providing over 11,000 Teen Kits to critically ill children.
Joseph S. Myers of Marlton has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation (ARVF, Inc.). Myers is financial advisor and branch manager of Raymond James Financial Services in Mt. Laurel, offering individual planning, preparation and partnership through asset allocation & management; estate, retirement & college planning; and mutual funds, stocks & bonds. He is a recipient of the “2013 NJ Five Star Wealth Manager” Award and affiliated with the National Liberty Museum Board and The Union League of Philadelphia, South NJ Business Network.
Steven J. Fluharty of Sicklerville has been appointed to the Board of Advisors of the Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation (ARVF, Inc.). Fluharty is dean of the school of arts and sciences and Thomas S. Gates jr. professor of psychology, pharmacology & neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania. An award-winning researcher, teacher and administrator, he leads a school comprised of nearly 500 standing faculty, organized into 27 academic departments and working in 35 centers and institutes. Fluharty has received multiple teaching awards and served for 10 years as the director of a university-wide program project and institutional training grant in behavioral neuroscience. He also has been awarded multiple individual grants from the National Institutes of Health and is the recipient of a number of scientific honors, including the Louis Flexner Prize in Neuroscience; the Beecham Award for Research Excellence; and was designated an Astra Merck Scholar by the American Heart Association.
