On Wednesday, April 30, the Lenape Regional High School District Board of Education adopted a $152 million budget for the 2014–2015 school year, an increase of $1,013,379 or .67 percent more than the current school year.
The proposed total regional school tax levy for 2014–2015 is $111,865,013, an increase of 1.35 percent, significantly below the state mandated two percent tax levy cap. Regional school taxes will increase in seven of the eight sending communities including Evesham, Medford, Medford Lakes, Shamong, Southampton, Tabernacle and Woodland; regional school taxes will decrease in Mount Laurel.
Evesham Township — Tax levy increase of 1.02 cents, resulting in an increase in regional school taxes of $21.39 on a home assessed at the township average of $270,200.
Medford Lakes Borough — Tax levy increase of .39 cents, resulting in an increase in regional school taxes of $7.54 on a home assessed at the borough average of $285,995.
Medford Township — Tax levy increase of 4.09 cents, resulting in an increase in regional school taxes of $131.68 on a home assessed at the township average of $329,530.
Mt. Laurel Township — Tax levy decrease of 52.33 cents*, resulting in a decrease in regional school taxes of $97.62 on a home assessed at the township average of $236,952.
Shamong Township — Tax levy increase of 4.11 cents, resulting in an increase in regional school taxes of $123.48 on a home assessed at the township average of $307,899.
Southampton Township — Tax levy increase of 2.71 cents, resulting in an increase in regional school taxes of $50.26 on a home assessed at the township average of $191,900.
Tabernacle Township — Tax levy increase of 10.82 cents*, resulting in an increase in regional school taxes of $82.69 on a home assessed at the township average of $264,109.
Woodland Township — Tax levy increase of 1.24 cents, resulting in an increase in regional school taxes of $22.36 on a home assessed at the township average of $275,175.
