An area office furniture store is playing Santa Claus in May, giving contributions to a variety of South Jersey nonprofit organizations and even making one person or family’s wish come true.
Joe Desk Office Furniture Outlet is hosting its first “Joe Desk Has Heart Party” May 14 at its Springdale Road headquarters. The event, open to the public, is also serving as a thank you for its customers, who all spun a giant wheel at the time of purchase to claim a 2 to 10 percent discount or a 5 percent, company-funded, contribution to one of four charities.
The organizations that will benefit from those spins are Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice, based in Marlton, Community Treatment Solutions, based in Moorestown, Bancroft, in Haddonfield, and the Wish Upon a Hero Foundation, headquartered in Marlton. The highlight of the day will come when Joe Desk fulfills a special request that came through HeroNetwork.com, the giving website of the Wish Upon a Hero Foundation.
“Joe Desk is proud to be involved with these tremendous organizations and we’re so happy we can give something back. This is going to be an exciting day for all concerned, and especially so for one South Jersey family in need,” said Steve Fink, owner of Joe Desk.
“Granting wishes is what our organization does, and thanks to the generosity of Joe Desk, we’ll have the opportunity grant a special wish in person on the day of this event, which is always a gratifying thing,” said Ryan Rendfrey, director of Business Development for the Wish Upon a Hero Foundation.
The Joe Desk Has Heart Party will be held May 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 2080 Springdale Road in Cherry Hill. Food and beverages will be served.
