The Medford Arts Center invites antique lovers to find out what their treasures are worth at their Antiques and Art Appraisal Luncheon at Braddock’s Restaurant on Sunday afternoon, May 4, at 1 p.m. A three-course luncheon will be served and a cash bar will be available. Admission to the luncheon is $40 for members of the Medford Arts Center or $45 for non-members. Pre-registration is required and can be made online at www.medfordartscenter.org or in person at the Medford Arts Center on Friday, Saturday or Sunday afternoons. Reservations should be received by April 25. To pay by mail, please call (609) 654–6485.
One old painting, piece of antique jewelry, china or object d’art may be brought by each attendee. Since there won’t be room for furniture, attenders can bring photographs showing several views of their old chair, table or other piece of antique furniture. All are welcome to attend, with an antique or just for the fun of attending Medford’s very own version of the Antique Road Show.
Cindy Stephenson and Tom Wakely of Stephenson’s Auctioneers and Appraisers of Southampton, Pa. will value all objects. Company owner and certified appraiser Cindy Stephenson is a graduate of the University of Texas with a Bachelor’s degree in fine art. She has been an auctioneer for more than 25 years and an appraiser since 1992.
Tom Wakeley has accumulated 25 years of knowledge in his specialties of silver, ephemera and 20th Century modern objects and is accredited in jewelry by the Gemology Institute of America as well as in antiques.
