On April 3, I was honored to be part of the grand opening of the Ripa Center for Women’s Health & Wellness at Cooper, located in the Main Street complex.
The Center is named in honor of the Ripa Family, long time Cooper supporters and Voorhees residents.
Founded in 2007, the Ripa Center was designed to meet the unique needs of women of all ages and at all stages of life.
Created by women for women, the center provides access to “one stop” comprehensive medical care by the world-class physicians and staff at Cooper. The center also offers complementary programming to nurture the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of women.
The Ripa Center offers a wide array of specialized programs and services for women in the areas of obstetrics, gynecology, maternal health, imaging services, psychiatry, psychology, counseling, a headache program, childbirth education and breast feeding education.
The center seeks to serve as a resource for women in addressing the social, emotional, environmental, spiritual and mental health dimensions of wellness.
Other clinical offerings include fitness classes, nutrition education and cooking classes, healthy aging seminars, parenting education classes and other signature events.
The Ripa Center strives to streamline healthcare access for women, and provides health education through urban outreach to improve the health of women in our community and surrounding communities. The center also provides undergraduate and graduate medical education to doctors focused on the specialized needs of women.
The center offers free, convenient parking.
The center’s one centralized phone number, (856) 673- 4912, allows connection to all of Cooper’s resources.
The center also offers complimentary computer cubicles for use during wait time, and a programming and event coordinator to answer questions about classes and special events. Representatives at an information station are available to answer all questions and provide complimentary coffee.
