Senior citizens in Evesham Township are in for a real treat on Tuesday, April 15, when they enjoy a free dessert buffet while listening to music performed by Evesham Township School District students at the annual Senior Citizen Dessert Theatre. The event will start at 3:00 p.m. at Marlton Middle School, 150 Tomlinson Mill Road.
Student volunteers, school district employees and members of the Parent Teacher Association will escort the 80 to 90 seniors to their seats and help them get their desserts in between performances by the DeMasi Middle School Flute Ensemble, the DeMasi Middle School Duet, and the Marlton Elementary School Band.
The Senior Citizen Dessert Theatre has been a free annual event for the community’s seniors for more than a decade. In addition to enjoying desserts and music, attendees also have the chance to win door prizes and everyone will go home with a goody bag courtesy of the Evesham Township Education Association. Seniors and student volunteers always have a great afternoon.
