The Medford Township Clean Communities Program invites all local residents and community groups to participate in its second annual Town Wide Yard Sale and Earth Day observances to be held Saturday, April 26 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Village of Taunton Forge Shopping Center at Tuckerton and Taunton Boulevards.
There is no cost to participate in the yard sale, but items offered for sale should be “pre-loved”, created from repurposed materials, or plants. All sales and proceeds go to the participating individual or community group. Participants must provide their own tables and chairs for a 10 foot by 10 foot location. Space is limited so pre-registration is required by April 14 to [email protected]
Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia will be on-site to collect donations of unsold items at the conclusion of the event, as well as collection of televisions and computers, which they recycle as a component of their job-training initiatives.
Township officials have also made arrangements to have a shredder on site for residents to dispose of personal files and papers. There will also be recycling giveaways and entertainment for the young and young at heart.
New this year, the Medford Historical Society is hosting a business expo, benefitting the Dr. Still Education Center. Interested businesses may obtain more information and register at [email protected].
Merchants at the Village of Taunton Forge Shopping Center will also be offering Earth Day specials and surprises. Plan to celebrate spring at this wonderful community event.
