MoorArts is looking for student musicians of all ages for the pit orchestra of the summer production of the Sound of Music. Show dates are scheduled for July 11–13, 16, 18 and 19. Students participating will receive credit for 25 hours of community service.
The production is in need of the following instruments:
- Piano (keyboard may need to double for strings)
- Flute I /Flute II (doubling Piccolo)
- Oboe (doubling English Horn)
- Clarinet I /Clarinet II
- Bassoon Horn I/II/III
- Trumpet I /II/ III
- Trombone I /II
- Tuba
- Percussion
- Guitar (Doubling Mandolin)
- Harp
- Violin I /II
- Viola
- Cello
- Bass
