Voorhees Middle School debuting the spring musical on March 14
Voorhees Middle School Drama Club invites you to “be our guest” and come see the heartwarming “tale as old as time” production of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” on Friday, March 14 through Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the VMS Theater, 1000 Holly Oak Drive. This show is one the entire family will love, so join us for one of our four performances.
Julia Udine, Class of 2007, played the lead as Belle in 2007 on the VMS stage. This March, Ms. Udine returns to the area to star as Christine in the Broadway touring production of “Phantom of the Opera” at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. The VMS Drama Club is taking a field trip to see Udine on the big stage.
“Beauty and the Beast” roars on stage at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15. A family matinee will take place on Saturday, March 15, at 1 p.m. On Sunday, March 16, show time is 3 p.m.
Tickets are $12.00. All seats are reserved. Senior citizens are invited to watch this production free of charge on Sunday afternoon, March 17, courtesy of PRIDE of the Voorhees Township Education Association. This popular show is sure to be a sell-out, so please reserve seats early.

The VMS Drama Club’s cast and crew are comprised of 180 students. In 2009, the Camden County Cultural and Heritage Commission named the Voorhees program as its pick for “Best of Camden County” for its production of “Into the Woods.” This year’s production of “Beauty and the Beast” continues the tradition of excellence in theater.
