Burlington County Sheriff’s Department to host women’s self defense workshop

Burlington County sheriff Jean Stanfield has announced that the Sheriff’s Department will be hosting a “Strong U” Women’s Self-Defense Workshop on Wednesday, March 5. The program will be held at the Burlington County Human Services Building, 795 Woodlane Road, in Westampton from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

“This program is just one of the many ways in which sheriff Stanfield and her department are assisting our residents in becoming proactive about their own safety,” freeholder director Leah Arter said. “This is a valuable opportunity for all women in Burlington County.”

Strong U was founded by Israeli Krav Maga instructors Kelly and Mimi in an effort to bring the critically important skills of self-defense to women in a safe, comfortable, and welcoming climate.

This free program is offered to Burlington County women who are over the age of 18. Please be advised comfortable clothing and flat soled shoes are required.

To register, call the Community Policing Unit at 609–265–3788 or email [email protected]
